Photo contest “My precioussss”: results!

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I've been such a bad bad boy! Can you believe it? Four months without a post, and even worse, four months delay on the contest results! Unforgivable!

I promised the three best photos would be published here on this blog. Unfortunately, I did not receive many photos. I was pretty sad about it, so there won't be another contest in the near future.

Photo contest: Win 3 lens cap clips!

Hello reader, listen up! This blog is about to have its first photo contest! It is a contest of the most beautiful photo which fits the rules and the theme.

No matter your age, your location and your level in photography, you can be a contestant. Let me explain the rules, they are quite simple:

• All photographs will be considered, no matter the camera it came from. Simple photo manipulation is allowed
• There is no limitation in the number of photos a contestant can send
• Please send a little description along with the photo

And the theme is... “My precioussss” !! I let you interpret it as you will.

National Geographic Photo Contest 2010 - Results

Remember November 24th? No? Come on! Ok, on November 24th I published a note about the 2010 National Geopgraphic Photo Contest. I then promised I would keep you posted when the results would be published, in early december. Well, better late than never!

Results are divided into three categories "Nature", "Places" and "People". In each category, a winner is proclaimed, several photos are highlighted with a "honorable mention", and one is selected as the viewers' choice.

More than 16 000 photos have been submitted, it must have been terrible to make choices! As for me, I have selected this astonishing photograph from Stephanie Swartz, "honorable mention" in the "Nature" category to illustrate this note. No doubt you will love it.

The world from a different angle with Canon, Images Magazine and darqroom
